The oil mill

The most important section of our cooperative is the elaboration and commercialization of the Extra Virgin Oil "Montebrione".

At present, the associates that integrate this section are 181, providing
an olive farming of 418 hectares with a total of 93.000 olives of the "Arbequina" type.

The harvest of the olives takes place for about 3 months from the

beginning of November. It is carried out manually, directly from the tree, so this makes the process virtually handmade. The pressing of the olives is done daily, in a continuous process by cold press. In this way we obtain the Extra Virgin Oil with the denomination "Montebrione". This is a high quality product and deserves to be considered as one of the finest D.O.P. Siurana oils.
